A highly educated young man became very desperate and disturbed at night.
This has been the case for a few months now. Every night he found himself thinking really hard.
He felt that some people were more successful than him.
This was hurting him because they were less-clever and worked less-hard.
He decided to know what led to this discrepancy. He visited one of the Masters in the area for advice.
When the master saw him, he knew for sure that the young man’s mind was disturbed.
How can I help you? The master asked,
The young man stammered, but he managed to gather courage and talk in coherent voice
Master, I am really disturbed; why are the people who are less-clever and who work less than me more successful ?
The master could notice sincere desperation in the man’s voice.
The master held the young man’s hand, and led him outside.
Please sir, ‘look up to the sky’, the master said in a soft voice.
‘Look at that small star, it is brighter than those big stars’. The young man got confused, but he answered, yes.
The master continued, ‘since we were small children, whenever we look up to the sky at night, we see these stars contented and living in harmony with each other.
We have never heard any of them so foolish to complain or become envious of each other.
Each star is contented and happy with the level of it’s brightness irrespective of it’s size.
My son, ‘be content, let your heart not be troubled, be happy, live in harmony with each other – God has blessed us differently; discover your blessing and nurture it.
