Shocked, really Shocked!

Thankyou Lord

Today, I learnt a big lesson. One characteristic of most optimistic and successful people is giving thanks.

Lets say it’s in the middle of the night and  you need money seriously. You walk or drive to the nearest ATM machine, insert your bank card, key in your pin number and get cash. Would you thank the ATM machine for dispensing your money?

Lets think of another scenario, you are flying out, you drive and park your car in the airport. Would you thank the car park machine for issuing you with with a parking ticket?

A friend of mine drove us to the airport today. When the parking machine issued her with parking ticket and lifted the barrier, she smiled and thanked the machine. Would you do that?

I was surprised, to express my dismay, I asked, ‘Why thank the machine? She politely lifted her sunglasses and smiled, ‘what if it did not issue the ticket?, the barrier would not go up and we wouldn’t park our car.

This would inconvenience us a lot and most likely miss the flight.

It dawned on me the importance of saying thank you.

Thinking Point
Do you think she was thanking the machine or a more powerful, omnipresent and universal deity- God?

Bravo! Exactly! thats how God inteded it to be in the perception of goodness and appreciation.
He sees it that way and we are no exception also, as we share in HIS ATTRIBUTES!!! A thank you at heart ! , always has a reciprocal goodness!!
keep it up!

I like it that way Peter. For sure a grateful heart beats many things. I don’t like a complaining attitude. Complaining never helps anything.

The attitude of gratitude is what we all need to embrace to make this world a better place.

You have said it Faith. Make this world a better place. Simple words like Thank you, makes all the difference. I wish we can all see it this way.

Really funny yet serious. We tend to take so many things for granted only to realize their value when they are either taken away from us or fail to work. And for animals and human beings; either when they either fall sick, move to new locations or even when they die.
A great article bro. Keep opening our eyes/ears; we desire to see/hear more.

Wa Stella, you are star. i like your comment. It has summarised the whole article in very few words. …realize their value when they are either taken away from us or fail to work. Thanks
